Chin-Chun Yi is a distinguished research fellow at the Institute of Sociology, Academia Sinica, Taiwan, researching changing families in Chinese and East Asian societies, intergenerational transmission, and the growth trajectories of youth from early adolescence to young adulthood. In this interview, she also speaks about the role of passion when opting for sociology and in selecting a particular subject of study.
